Updates from Blind Image.

Blind Image is currently working on their new album which will be released in couple of months from now. This album will be a concept album and the story is  based on the LHC experiment that happens in Geneva.

The story is a mix of facts about the experiment and our idea and perception about this entire process, which will be the fiction part of the story. A perfect balance of  fact and fiction has given this concept a good shape.

The music is 100 times heavier than our first album “Psychobabble”.  The music has taken  influences from extreme metal bands like, meshuggah, Sikth, gojira, . Etc .  At the same time, the melodic sense is maintained  in songs with David varying his vocal lines from growling to singing with harmonies etc. A  perfect blend .

Drums and guitar parts are done. Now muneeb is nailing his bass lines and david is doing his vocal lines as i write this now.

We have to mention that , Lakshman- who is the engineer for this album is doing an amazing job with the entire recording and production process by deriving the best from all of us . His famous  Quote -  ” oh yeah that was good dude, but you can do a little better. just give me 4 more good takes that’s all “

due to some unavoidable circumstances the band had to split ways with their ex bassist tibu and now guess who is back.

Muneeb is the new bassist of the band . Muneeb  is also the first bassist of Blind Image back in 2006. He quit the band in the year 2006 for some personal reasons and in good terms. Now he is back for good.

Muneeb is known for not holding his bass like how it is supposed to be holded …lol . Muneeb will be taking all the guys who come for the show for dinner .. lol…

Blind Image has come out with their independently released debut album titled “Psychobabble“. Psychobabble is a melting pot of musical tastes and ideas as each band member has contributed to the album according to his taste. The songs have been composed over a span of one year and have undergone many modifications.

The eight tracks which are found in the album portray the conflicting musical tastes of each band member and how they used this setback, productively. Everysong sounds different from the other, incorporates different musical ideas and has different lyrical themes.

The album starts off with “Skin” which is the band’s first composition The five minute sonic assault is a song about the carnal desires of a young man in his prime. This is followed by “Shit Happens“. Aptly titled, the song is a humorous take on speed shows how easy it is to take a heavy song .

The third song is “Bomb In The Cake (The Mob Anthem)”. This song describes how an individual can come together and make a difference in the society by standing up, raising his voice and exhibiting his right to protest. This is followed by “Effigy” which plays out as the last words of a man facing certain death. The song which is an acoustic ballad, has a sombre and eerie feel to it.

Next comes the title track, “Psychobabble“. A corrupt politician invites you to his world and shows you a day in his life. The sarcasm portrayed in this track gives it the right to be named so.

The next song is called “Say No More“. The atmosphere of this song is macabre as a junkie gives you a first person view of his fix in a couple of lines. “Read My Lips” is the next song. The song takes you through a trip of polysyllables from the viewpoint of a tripper.

The last song on the album is called “Kiss Of Anarchy“, which quite surprisingly, is a song about breaking up! It very simply tells that if you kiss me goodbye, then I’ll give you a “Kiss Of Anarchy!
